Musical Director - Lloyd Bartlett
Lloyd is a postgraduate of Trinity College of Music, where he read Trombone studies following his previous training from Peter Wise. Lloyd was resident conductor of the Hyde training band, before becoming resident of Verwood Concert Brass in 2006 for a six month period. He went on to conduct the Ringwood and Burley band, and spent 7 years with the Millstream Orchestra.
From 2018-2023, he was the professional conductor of Poole Borough Band where he enjoyed considerable contest success - gaining 3rd place in the Third Section National Finals in 2019, winning the Third Section Regional Championships in 2020, and also winning the Second Section Wessex Contest in 2021. He has played with BCB since 2001, and is very pleased to now be working with the band as our Musical Director.
