Sponsorship
Following our fabulous result at our Regional Brass Band Championships this year, leading to an invitation to represent the area at the National Brass Band Championships in York this September, the band are pleased to offer sponsorship opportunities for 2026 to support our continued growth and running costs. As well as the estimated £4000 cost to prepare and take the band to York, we face annual expenses including:
- Repairs of instruments - £1,000+
- Hire of rehearsal space - £3,000+
- Insurance and licences - £500+
- Transporting percussion & equipment for concerts - £1,000+
We provide flexible sponsorship packages for individuals and businesses, with benefits such as:
- Logo on our website
- Programme advertising
- Free concert tickets
- Private performances
- Event or recording sponsorship
We welcome sponsorships of any amount and can create a package to suit you. Please contact us to find out more.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
CORNET MUTE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY
We are currently looking for sponsorship to purchase a set of cornet mutes.
These are surprisingly expensive, priced at around £60 per mute, and each cornet player ideally needs one of each of the pictured mutes. Brass bands have 10 cornet players as standard, which is a lot of mutes.
Our current set of mutes is very old and very depleted.
What are mutes for?
Mutes change either the sound or volume of an instrument, producing greater "colour" or interest in the music.
Why do we need mutes?
A lot of music, ranging from concert music to contest pieces, requires mutes for sections where the composer or arranger wants to change the colour. To get the full effect of the music, and for it to be played as it was designed, needs all the tools!
