Lloyd Bartlett - 2nd Trombone

Lloyd Bartlett - Principal TromboneLloyd grew up in Poole. graduating to Trinity College London in 2002, gaining a B.Mus degree and a post graduate diploma in trombone performance. During his time at Trinity Lloyd worked with some of the top performers in London, notably Roger Harvey and Stephen Maw. Since graduating Lloyd has also conducted several local bands. Joining BCB in 2004 as principal trombone Lloyd is also principal of the Westbourne orchestra. He teaches primarily as a brass teacher and ensemble conductor at Castle Court Prep School and Allenbourn Middle School in Wimborne. He lives locally with his wife Rachel who is the bands Flugel Player. Lloyd not only plays in the Trombone section, he is also one of the band's resident conductors.

Bill Willis - Bass Trombone

Bill joined Bournemouth Concert Brass in 1993 on Euphonium, before moving to Eb Bass. Raised in Poole with a Salvation Army background Bill was encouraged to play and write by well known local musicians including Malcolm Wheale and Alwyn Green (BSO) and Glyn Bosanko. He was Principal Cornet for 4 years before moving to on to Bass Trombone, the instrument he is now currently playing. In addition to studying conducting with Russell Gray, Bill is a fine composer and arranger and has had many of his compositions and arrangements used in brass band competitions and recordings. Bill lives locally and works locally as a Major Incident Manager.
